The Castle Vaults have a variety of uses as bakehouse and kitchen stores, wine cellar, arsenal, military prison, and—on the level below—prison of war. The door on the left provides access to the stairs that lead down to the prison of war and further down to Pattern Sentry and Pattern Room. This door is always guarded.
