Built not as a true defensive gate, but under Princess Flora's supervision in an attempt to make the castle look more picturesque. Bronze statues of Osric and Finndo, who died in defense of Amber, stand on either side of the entrance as a memorial to the two princes. Three flags fly overhead: the red of the Golden Circle Kingdoms, the green of the House of Amber, and the blue flag of Ambertown.
